Rubber Roller Core Repair
When a roller core is damaged, worn, or no longer holding tolerances, surface work alone is not enough. Core repair restores the structural integrity of the roller so it can perform reliably in production.
Coreline Rollers provides roller core repair services to address shaft damage, bearing issues, journal wear, and other structural problems that affect performance and usability.
When Core Repair Is Needed
Core repair is typically required when:
- The shaft or journals are worn or damaged
- The roller is bent or out of alignment
- Bearings are not seating correctly
- The core cannot support a new cover
Supporting Recovery and Rebuild Work
Core repair is often completed as part of a larger repair process, especially when a roller is being recovered.
Before applying a new cover, the core must be:
- Structurally sound
- Dimensionally accurate
- Properly prepared for bonding
Addressing core issues early helps ensure the success and longevity of the roller.
Evaluated for Your Application
Core condition alone does not determine the repair path. We also consider how the roller is used in production. We review:
- Load and operating conditions
- Speed and balance requirements
- Tolerance sensitivity
- History of performance issues
This ensures the repaired core will perform as expected once returned to service.
If the cover is still usable but out of spec, roller grinding may be sufficient.
If the cover is worn or failing, roller recovery may be required.
